Default Liftgate lock

Do you have have issues with the liftgate lock? I thought it was the fuse, appears to be the lock itself unless I'm mistaken.

Any insight you guys have is appreciated.

Thanks

Did you check the fuse on the drivers side just inside the door on the side of the dash

Do a search on the forum. This is a common problem. Mine was just a linkage problem but it is often the actuator. There is a good video on how to access the hatch from inside the vehicle is it stays locked and you can't open it from the outside. I think it was a Tahoe but the procedure worked great for me.

I did. Fuse is good. The lock doesn't lock on the lift gate still and I've got the check lift gate fuse still on. Unless it's a bad motor or something, not sure.

can you hear it clicking when you use the remote to unlock?

To take the interior trim piece off you need to unbolt the pull strap/handle (one bolt) then Gently start pulling off the plastic trim be sure to do this gently or else you will break the clips. Pull the two cables off the actuator and replace if bad...

Mine quit unlocking on vacation with a load of junk piled to the roof back there. After removing all that was able to pull the plastic away enough to get my arm down inside and pull the cables to unlock it. This thread has a pic of the lock/latch and the cables (Thanks to LoJac963): https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...e-31160/page2/

No click, no movement.
