Default lift questions

ok guys im new here how yall doin. Ive got a 2003 h2 i have a 6inch skyjacker on it runnin 40x15.50x20s i just got new 20x14s and when i put them on i started rubbin. I use to not with the old tires does anyone know of a way i can lift it up anymore without having to upgrade to the 12inch because im low on funds after buying the new rims. Also started hearing a noise in the front end when i take off real hard it sounds like a grinding noise havent had a chance to take it to the shop and check it out cause i left to go on the boat and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks all hummer lovers

Maybe try some spacers to extend your wheel out from the hub. Sounds like with the wider rims you put on it isn't spaced evenly.

Not sure how the spacers would effect the wear on your hub bearings if at all. Maybe some one on here will have a better answer, and pics are always helpful.

Those are some pretty wide tires/wheels. I think wheel spacers to move everything "out" away from the suspension will do the trick.

Your new wheel offset may be wrong giving you too much backspacing, bringing the wheel too close to the truck. I have a 4" lift on mine and I run 40"x15.5"x20" Toyo MT's. The front used to rub until I had the front leveled out. The only place I may still rub is a little spot on the front sway bar, but not much at all. You have 2" more than me. You shouldn't have this issue for regular driving. I could see it happen if you use your H2 like Tony Hawk uses a skateboard. The grinding is probably the hub assembly. They go out all the time. Your best bet is to go to the Dmax Store and get the Kryptonite hubs with the lifetime warranty. I did and haven't had a problem yet.

For you guys suggesting spacers what studs do you use? I have a customer with the Rancho 4" lift and he just recently bought Maxxis Creepy Crawlers 40x13.5/R17. He was running the same tires for a long time on a 17x8 et-8 wheel. When he brought the car in we nopticed one of the wheels was cracked really badly (it was amazing he had still be driving on it). I looked into the Maxxis tires he had and they called for an 11" wide wheel. Pretty much no where makes a 17x11 et-44 wheel, so I have been drying to find a 17x10 et-25 wheel but cant find anything in stock (there were several Ultra and Helo wheels made to these specs but they are all discontinued). I`ve found 17x10 et-12 but was STRONGLY advised against using spacers on a truck this heavy.

OP sorry for the thread jack, but just wanted to check, if you do decide to go with spacers instead of new wheels with the proper offset, what studs you go with as I am curious if they will be strong enough.

Brother, your not jacking a thread. I have XD Black Magic Outlaws. My Wife has Fuel Hostages. I suggest the fuel hostages. You can get The Right backspacing for these. We don't use spacers
