We are emigrating to Western Australia this year and want to take our 2005 H2 with us. It is currently left hand drive and the Western Australia import law states that it can only be licensed for a maximum of 6 months after arrival as a left hand drive vehicle. During that time it has to be converted to right hand drive. Can anyone recommend a good place for the conversion either in the UK (we are in Lancashire) or in Oz (we are headed to Perth)

Considering the cost of conversion and the fact that Hummer is 4WD which will likely add to that cost, wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to sell your H2 and just buy a RHD in Aussieland?

 

unfortunately the best that 2005 H2's are going for here in the UK is £16000 - the equivalent in Oz is $90000 AUD - that is a massive difference given that the £ is so weak against the $AUD at the moment

 

Ouch! Sounds like you love driving your H2. You get props for that.
