Default Leveling kit install price??

I had a local shop quote me 650.00 to level the front of my h3, I see the kits for like 75.00. What should it cost I thought 650.00 was nuts, am I wrong? What kit should I get? Thanks Vic

If you get one get ready lift best on the market. My local place quoted me $450 for the kit and install and alignment.

Cranked my T-bolts, installed new Bilstein shocks with extended bump stops (about 200 bucks) and got an alignment (45 bucks). Looks great and no problems.

Wow those prices are crazy... Mgoblue did it right... I didn't pay a shop anything to "level" my H3... Installed the bump stops and shocks myself, took it to the shop for the alignment (lifetime @ Firestone) for no charge too...

Kits are a waste of $! Look at how many times the forum members have advised against buying them and installing them. Please use the "SEARCH" function at the top of every page. It will save you time and a lot of $.

You can get the EXACT same result from turning the torsion key bolts! Use the $ you would have spent on the keys and install on some new shocks all the way around. Just don't go above 23 1/2" or the ride will suffer greatly.

Anyone do a Body Lift? or know if there will be a gap between the grill and bumper if this is done?

There will be a gap between the top of the plastic bumper and the bottom of the grill. Also in the rear there will also be a gap above the rear bumper.

Default Leveling

I hope this doesn't sound too remedial. Where exactly are the torsion bolts located?
