Default leveling the front end

I started the leveling process, I turned the torsion bar on the passenger side two turns and that brought the height to 23 1/4 inches from the center of the H in the middle of the rim. Then I did the drivers side and it has taken four turns and then when I went around the block it measures 22 3/4. Does anyone know if something might be bad or not working the way it should? or should I just drive it a bit longer to see what happens. I did this on flat ground then when I measured twice and three times and so on I parked it right back in the same spot.

Turn them up some more to get them to the height you want. That is why it is suggested that you crank your t bars then go for a drive then do it again as they will settle a little.

i figured it out, I turned the drivers side 6 1/2 turns and only 2 turns on the passenger side. I went from stock height to 23 1/4 ride height, I wanted to stay at a good comfortable level for myself. I also measured from the ground up and I found this to be easier. The measurement from the ground is 37 1/4, I can't stress enough that when you make an adjustment you really have to take it for a ride around the block to let it settle it, it makes sense because I got a different reading after I let the h3 down off the jacks and then when I came back from driving around the block.

And the height alone wont tell you that its aligned properly - so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have it aligned.

Here is the update, after leveling the front end to 23 1/4 and getting a front end alignment, the dealership told me that the steering wheel was two degrees off. I have almost 48,000 miles on it too. The new measurement is 23 1/2 and the H3 looks awesome. It rides great, no noise, and I love it. I kept the stock shocks and stock torcian keys, I have found that the ride is a little stiffer when I hit bumps but I'm sure an after market shocks will take care of that. I talked to the dealership about anything voiding the warranty and they said leveling the front end won't but putting bigger tires will and also an aftermarket exhaust. My factory warranty is up at 50,000 miles but gm offers a program called the GNPP, which extends the current warranty you have for a certain amount of time, depending on what you want. They told me 36 month 30,000 mile with a 100 deductable was about $2500, I think it's worth it because of the head issue alone with the 06's

glad to hear your H3 is now leveled! by far the best looking mod. if the dealer did the alignment, why didnt they straighten the steering wheel? mine is dead straight, tracks straight with hands off the wheel even with my new 315 duratracs. good move on getting an extended warranty.

the steering wheel was probalby off because of the wheels were off, my bad I wrote it down incorrectly. I want to put 315's on it too, did you happen to notice a big difference in power loss?

I was actually one of those against going with bigger rubber. now i wish i did it sooner! power loss is minimal, however the terrain around here is flat with no long grades to climb.
