Has it even happened to anybody OUTSIDE of that VIN range? My VIN is not in that range because it was manufactured later in the year. I literally got my H3 a week after it was built. I was the first and only person to ever drive it. It has 0.2 miles on it when I test drove. I'm just wondering if it has been 100% proven that every single person who has had the problem has ONLY been in that designated range.

I am in the same boat as Dennis. I ride my motorcycle in the summer and drive my Mercedes to/from work in the winter. I only drive my H3 when I take a trip or when I'm off work as a recreational vehicle. I'd be willing to bet with as little driving as I do that this stupid problem won't manifest itself until my warranty expires. I don't think GM needs to extend our warranties. I think they just need to guarantee that if your head fails then they will fix it for free no matter when it happens as long as it is a result of a manufacturer defect.

I like your calculations though. I would assume at least half the people that own H3's out there don't even have internet access. Poor Bastards. Hell, half of the attorneys I work for (probably more) don't even have home computers, literally. It probably is over 2%. Even 1% is abig number in the grand scheme of things.

I know I opened a can of worms. I should've just kept my thoughts to myself. Sorry.

What gets me is that HEAD keeps saying "be positive, it will be alright, don't worry"...Not to be an ***..But that's easy for you to say it seems...where are you coming from with all this optimism on this?

cus so much bad **** has happened to me lately. i could sit there and think negative and worry about everything i cant do anything about. wont make things better. i figure ill give this a try.

Well whatever...I mean I wish you some good luck then...
So your optimism is based on just optimism...which is okay for you I guess...But I was beginning to believe you had an inside track on all this and was trying to say without saying GM was on to a global cure and remedy for all us 06 owners in that VIN range....Call me selfish, but I feel somehow,a little let down now..
