I have an 04 H2, and I just bought the Hypertech Max Energy Programmer. It is updatable VIA internet for new factory tuneups, etc..

I put the Premium gas tune up in it, plus upped all 3 shift points 300 RPM. also went 50% on firmness, and raised top RPM to 6200. So far it is very diffrent. Im going to play with the shift points, but it winds up a bit more now to use the power, instead of shifting and being mushy.

Shortbus, that condition is likley dirty injectors/fuel maint needed. Mine was doing the same thing(low RPM surge) and I used some cleaner and better gas, seems to be helping. the new tune/Shif points should help too.

Diablo Predator Sport programmer is much better and even can disable Torque Management. TM is the reason you sometimes notice, under certain situations, that you should have more power!

I sold my Hypertech & got the predator! I have had Hypertechs on my last 3 trucks and even on current H2. Take my word for it, it blows compared to the predator! It's totally customizable and has many more features!!!

 

i paid 150 for my hypertech n the cheapest i can find a used preditor is 300. so im happy with my choice.

 

I agree, the Preditor is superior.

 

Maybe I'll buy the predator and I have more power. How much is the predater?
