Default Just got new Tires/Wheels! Finally!

Just thought i'd share. Here are the details....

2006 Lux
Cranked torsion bars to 24"
2" rear shackles
Skyjacker shocks
16" x 8" MKW Offroad wheels from Rimz One| Wheel & Tire Packages
LT315/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers
Alignment is getting done today. Now that I've driven it around a little bit, i'm going to re-measure/adjust the front end to be sure it's still at 24" before i get the alignment.

If you have any questions, please ask. I'm happy to answer.

Great looking truck! Looks Awesome.

What brand shackles did you use? Also, where did you get the LED running lights on the front?

That's a sweet looking Hummer! I haven't seen those wheels before but they look awesome. How do you like the Skyjacker shocks?

I got both the LED corner lights and the shackles from ebay.

Shackles were $48 shipped. There were 1.25", 2", and 3" shackles available. I figured 2" would be perfect. it actually came out to be about 1.5"-1.75" (depending on how full the gas tank is).

the corner lights were about $125 i believe. they had both yellow tinted, and clear available.

I also hadn't seen the wheels before. I was originally going to go with ION wheels, but then i started reading some reviews, and most were bad... saying the paint chipped easily. So i started looking around more, and came across these at rimzoneonline. They really had the best prices on wheels, and their prices for tires are pretty comparable to everywhere else. I was really sold on the wheels because they shipped for free, and since i dont live in the state where they are based, i didn't have to pay any tax. I ordered them on a Sunday, and got them on Friday.

The Skyjacker shocks are actually pretty smooth. Much better than stock shocks. But the ride got much stiffer when i cranked the torsion bars (as expected). I would recommend them. Great price, and great quality. The only bad thing was the rear shocks were on about a 30 day back order. I didnt know that at the time when i ordered them. but worth the wait.
