Just got an H3X
Hello everyone,
Just got an H3X and I have to replace the valve cover gasket. Does anyone know the bolt pattern and torque specs? I’ve researched and can’t seem to find anything. |

On the I5 it is considered a cam shaft cover. Maybe that's why you were unable to find the specs.
The specs should be the same for the 3.5L and the 3.7L. -Install the camshaft cover bolts and tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm). -Check the gap on all of the spark plugs. The gap should be 0.042 inches (1.08 mm). Tighten all of the spark plugs to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm). -Install the ignition coils into the camshaft cover. -Install the ignition coil bolts and tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm). Hope this helps |

Is there a certain pattern I need to follow when putting the bolts back in? |
No pattern is mentioned. I like to snug all the bolts down then torque from the inside out.
Remember that's inch pounds. Does not take much to ruin or smush a gasket. |
