Just cranked my torsion bars... Lets keep beating this topic to death...
Ok I started out with both sides around 22" from the center of the wheel to the lip of my fender. I had to crank one side 4.5 times and the other 5.5 times to get them both up to 23.25"! From what I have read it is safe to get the front end up to about 24.25" but from the way things are going I'm going to have to do another 3+ turns on each side. I am worried because most other people seem to only have to do 2.5-3 turns.
Does anyone remember what their stock ride height was? Does 22" seem like a low starting point?
I did drive the truck around after each adjustment. Am I ok to keep turning until I get up into the 24" range? I did read one post where a guy had to do 8 or 9 turns but that was the only one I could find. Any info would be appreciated!
BTW I have an '08 Alpha...don't knowif that makes a difference.

I'm the guy that did all of those turns 
Just get an alignment when you are finished and all will be fine. Haven't had one problem from it and I've put around 8,000 miles on it since.The AVERAGE amount of turns for everyone has been in 2.5 range. Can't guarantee that on every truck.
Don't know about the Alpha, but I would guess that they added weight of the engine would make a difference.

Hopefully I'll have pics tomorrow of it leveled with my new tires/wheels! They were supposed to come friday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow... Also my cognitos should be here any day now.... Oh yeah and my CB and stereo... lol... its going to be like christmas this week. I just hope I can get it all on before I goto moab on friday!
