Just bought an 08'....any mods suggestions?
Hello everyone! I am a newbie here, so please forgive my ignorance when it comes to mods and probably certain questions pertaining to my new 08' H2. I have only had it for 2 days and am loving every minute of ownership. With that, I have little/no experience with H2 mods and terminology. So, with your help, hopefully I can learn alot. This leads me to a couple of questions.....what mods should I do first? I have the new 6.2L engine and am hoping to get some more HP from it with a intake/exhaust, so what do you recommend? What wheels tires do you recommend? Any/all info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The wheel and tire combo depends a lot on what type of person you are and what you like to do. If you like to offroad then offroad tires with smaller rims or some people pt on 24 inch rims with some nice tread or you could go with 28 inch rims and have slim or rubberband tires which aren't good for traction.
Chrome definately sets these rigs off! That in mind, I see alot of $ getting ready to come out of my pocket. Eventhough my rig came with the Lux package, there is still alot of chrome to add. As far as wheels and tires, I prefer meaty tires and more of the "off-road" look compared to the street look....meaning, 20" wheels would be the biggest I would probably go so that I can still have a decent ride when on the trails. That said, what are some really aggressive looking "bad'as*" wheels??
lots of billet.
and, for performance whether you do or don't offroad (but especially if you do)
call Cognito Motorsports and get every last bit of their upgraded steering stuff. The pitman/idler, the idler pivot support ar ethe big ones. The leveing kit is cool, too.
The change in steering feel is nice, it steers easily after those are installed, like a car. I wore out the pitman arm in the first 12000 miles of having the truck (quite a bit of dirt-time), and its held for the last 8000 and still steers nice with the Cognito stuff in (mostlhy dirt time)
If you take the truck offroad, get a front locking differential (an Elocker or an Airlocker), beefy tie rods, and the Cognito front leveling kit, and 37" tires.
37" tires are one of the coolest looks-modifications you can make as well. They look soo much nicer than the factory 35's.
