Jumpy Steering Wheel And
Hi! New here and I own a 2006 Hummer H3 with the 5 cylinder engine and auto transmission. We finally got some rain out here in NE Kansas so I decided to have some fun on the minimum maintenance county roads. I was happy as hell with the performance of my hummer! She crawled through everything I threw at her! Then two days later I noticed tight spots in my steering wheel when turning. I checked the power steering fluid to find it was a little low. I filled it to the proper level. No change. Damn! I crawled under her to have a look and found this. A leak on a seal of some sort. Looks like the second cylinder on my cv shaft on the driver side. (By second I mean the boot and cylinder that is furthest from the wheel on the shaft.) Anybody replaced this before? Is this something I can do on my own or should I just send it in to the shop? All comments and suggestions welcome. Good and bad! I've got tough skin so lets hear it! lol Thanks!
