We played with one before purchasing an H3 with a non amplified stereo. They are made to fit in the factory sub area on amplified stereos only, so if you have two rear pockets in your truck it may not fit without some cutting. The single ten adds a good amount of bass if you only plan on running your highs off the factory or replacement stereo. I would definitely add an amp for the sub. JL makes great stuff. If you are going to add components or a four channel amp for your highs, this sub is much too little to keep up with the newer, cleaner, louder sound of powered highs.

JL spends a lot of time tuning the box to the car. You will not get a better sounding sub if you tried to make a box. You NEED to put an amp to it, but it will blow you away. the best part of the sub is it replaces the factory sub, so you lose no space. If you don't have the monsoon salrady, then you need to replace the left rear plastic piece to one that has the cutouts for the Monsoon.

I would say the jl audio stuff is the best , and add a 250 watt amp to the sub and and the 300/4 for the rest of the speakers
