Thanks for the complement!! It's a pic of my H3, I Photoshoped in the sky but the rest is the actual picture, it's thelogo of my website. I would show the whole thing but I'm not sure admin would be to happy if I did.

???? RealJeep. My post was about a pickup truck not a Jeep. I have had two CJs and a Cherokee. Loved the CJs, hated the Cherokee but I don't bash other peoples rigs or brands. I agree, I have seen a little of everything stuck out there.

Black Bear.....That is NOT a Jeep, it looks like an old M-151, a product of AM General, AKA HUMMERs Parent Company....So it squished a HUMMER???

M-151: The MUTT (Military Utility Tactical Truck) designed by Ford but built by Jeep. Built with independent suspension and a uni-body.
Is the M151 a Jeep or not??
NO, the M-151 was not nor ever was a Jeep. And you are semi-correct about Ford building it.
..."The M151 Mutt (Military Unit Tactical Truck) replaced the M38A1. It was designed by Ford and later built by Kaiser, AM General Corporation, and GM. In 1951 the Ford Motor Company was given a contract..."
"The M151A2 was born and was raised in the militia, and it is always ready for the action. From part of the series of military vehicles 4X4 more versatile of the fact that is had. And must be it, sincewho manufacturesis AM General with their more than 40 military experience years..."

When you ask whether the M-151 was a Jeep or not you get differing answers. When that problem arrises you have to go right to the source.

The present owners of the Jeep brand will have nothing to do with the M-151. They will claim every other quasi-Army truck except that one. That was Ford's Tar baby and Jeep will have nothing to do with it. It was a P.O.S. right from the assembly line and only got worse with use, that's if it didn't kill you first. The Jeep web site makes mention of Ford building it on the M-38 A1 page.
