this post is to let anyone know one reason they might be experiencing this. I have been taking my 06 h3 to the dealer for 20k miles to try to figure out what is wrong with my Idle. After about 5k in expenses I happened to take it to my family mechanic while home on vacation and after a few hours of troubleshooting we found that one of the coil packs were bad. This appears to have eluded the dealership for over a year and a half. I just wanted to give anyone a heads up that might be looking for something on this issue. its a 300 dollar fix that cost me over 5k.

 

I'm really surprised the dealer's diagnostic equipment couldn't pinpoint that!

 

Since there were never any codes showing on the computer even while being able to feel the miss they could never pinpoint it.

 

I hope you gave your local mechanic a big tip.
