Interior/Dash Lights List
Hey guys, sorry double post today (I'm on a roll). I once saw a post somewhere where someone showed how many of each light bulb you need to do a full LED conversion of the dash and interior lights. I already have all of the door lights done and the shifter lights done. Just need to know which lights I need for the steering wheel, instrument panel, center dash, and side dash. I do know how to solder and I know I'll need to do that for a number of the lights (like the instrument panel).
Thanks!
Thanks!
There is no list that I know of. As far as I am aware, I was the first to do a FULL LED swap, including all the soldered bulbs and SMDs. Steering wheel controls, climate control, center stack stuff all need to be soldered in. Some of them you have to get creative in how you bend the leads of the LEDs to get them to sit right. I also used diffused LEDs in some spots and clear in others depending on the type of light scatter I wanted. Sorry that's not much help but I basically tore things apart, soldered in LEDs and put things back together.

Cluster: 4 leds
steereing wheel controls: 8 leds
Light switch: 1 led
Rear wiper switch: 1 led
4x4 switch: 3 leds
TC2 switch: 1 led (I didn’t replace the mini bulb)
Trailer switch: 1 led
Air Suspension: 1 led
A/C control buttons: 5 leds
A/C fan speed: 1 led
A/C auto / direction: 1led
A/C *****: 2 leds (1 each)
Airbag switch: 2 leds (I screwed mine up)
Shifter gear position: 2 leds
Total: 33 led’s
Try to buy the best available quality as the cheap ones will start flickering in no time. Trust me, you don’t want to do this job twice!!
I played around with different color leds and I think the result is great.
attached is just a pic of my A/C unit that before the conversion looked quite cheap...
Tonight I will share a picture of the whole dashboard.
Good luck!

Thanks for that list.
I have about 30 of these SMD T4.7 LED instrument lights and 10 T10 LEDs that I've used for the doors and some other lights I've changed already. I guess that should be enough and I'll order more if I need it.

For the Steering wheel buttons I got these: eBay item 273660435301
I have done a few led upgrades on different vehicles and, after almost a year, I haven't had any problems with these.
This is what it looks like. Maybe a little over the top? Not sure... But, it reminds me of my old flying days and, with a “throttle” lever like we all have, I think it’s a good match. At night it looks even better LOL
Only one I'm going to be re-doing on mine will be the climate control. I've seen on one of the GM truck forums where someone added a small bit of plastic as a divider inside and they used blue on the left part of the temp ***** which really looked nice.
