intake help!!!

Default intake help!!!
Well I bought the K&N series 63 and went to install it today. I 1st opened up my filter box cover and this is what I saw

So is this just an aftermarket filter the previous owner installed? Help please. Thanks

It looks like the stock paper filter...take it out, throw it in the garbage and drop the k&n in...you'll love it, I just did the same thing after changing my volant cai back to stock.

The 2006 and 2007's have the cone filter like the one in your picture. The airbox was changed in 2008 and use a flat filter.

AHHH. I see. O.K. I going to toss it. I actually have the the whole kit that removes the air box. I hope this changes the response a bit!!!

let me know how well it does. I am gettting ready to buy one and a cat back for mionr.

Intake is on and took under an hour. Looks great! Exhaust is going on tomorrow!!!!
