Hello all.

Have a few problems with my 03 H2.

1. Key stuck in the ignition.

I have to manually press the button under the ignition switch to release it. Does that mean the switch is faulty or the Park solenoid is bad? or battery>?


2. The DIC is completely dead.

No feedback at all. The backlight is on but no gauges work. If it pull it out and disconnect it and reconnect it, it will work for a little while. If I turn the vehicle off chances are the DIC wont come back. Sometimes if I hit a bump it will come back to life also.

Could a defective battery cause both of these problems?

Yes a bad battery can cause both of those issues. I would start with getting the battery charged and then load tested.
