Default idle

OK guys I have had my 03 H2 for a couple of months now and really love it. I am trying to get to know the truck better as far as what is normal or not in the way it performs. I notice when I am sitting at a light that there seems to be a slight "stumble"in the engine idle. The tach shows about 550rpm and the needle doesn,t really move
. I have changed the plugs and wires and pcv valve for regular maintenance. This isn,t really noticable but I want to know if others feel this and is it just normal for the 6L? Anyone else in my truck would not notice it but the little things bug me. Any thoughts on this?

how many miles are on your rig, hows the air filter, have you cleaned the mass air flow sensor, what kind of gas are you running,i noticed in my old truck which had a 6.0,it did the same thing,i started using that lucas fuel treatment, and not only did it help, but i also ended up getting a couple more mpg after a fyull bottle, get the big bottle, you get about 6 uses outta it

You could change your fuel filter. You could run some injector cleaner through a tank of gas. Your description sounds like what every engine I have ever owned does. The only real way you can find out what it's doing is put it on a computer. If you have one Cyl that is misfiring on a regular basis then you might have an issue.

and another thought as soon as I hit the Ok button.... you have an 03.... your A/C is always on... Turn the button off (the snowflake) and then see if it does it.

Hi. Guys. The truck has about 70,000 miles. The air filter looks ok, I just put in some fuel injector cleaner the other day. I have not cleaned the MAF sensor or changed the fuel filter. I will see how the injector cleaner works and maybe clean the MAF sensor. Should I just spray some electrical contact cleaner in the maf? How have you guys cleaned the MAF? Thanks

you can get speacial stuff for cleaning sensors go to the parts store and see what brands they have and ask which one they sell the most of............ that would be everyones favorite that must work the best also did you do a plug change that really helps things run smoother and if you are having a misfire inspecting the plugs should help determine which if any cylinders are giving you greif

Yes I changed the plugs and wires about a week ago. The plugs that I took out really didn,t look that bad and all of them looked about the same.

I have had my climate control off lately so the climate screen is blank. The ac should be off in this mode. I willdouble check later. Thanks
