And just so you know, I agree with your theory and in most cases you are right, but this can also definitely be considered for the "Prius owner hates Hummers and wants to **** them off" catagory. I would just say give the guy a chance to explain the situation a little more before critisizing him for something he may or may not have done in the fashion you are assuming he did it in
Psstt ... it was a CIVIC :-)

Why does he deserve the benefit of the doubt when the Civic driver was not ... I'm extending the same amount of curtesy as the rest of yas ... just not on the same side of the argument ... I'm going against the grain here .. had I not done that this thread would've been half the size it is now ... personally I think this thread is exceptionally biast for the very same reasons you think I shouldcut him some slack ... again I ask .. WHY?

"I offered my opinion on it because I think people who do this crap deserve every verbal lashing they canget"

If you are referring to B following too close as part of these people (which is what I'm trying to understand) then yes, I agree, but again, we still aren't sure what CLOSE is, and when he did this, the guy was already stopped.

"I've been rear ended3 times myself and I can tell you I'm not exactly THE most appreciative person when it comes to that. Les has been too .. and she was tailgating the guy infront of her and she nailed him too, real good!"

I can understand that, I don't like when people do it either, but if you are stopped in the middle of the road, I'm not going to stay 20 feet behind you, but you kinda repremanded B without knowing how far back he really was. That's what I'm saying. I'm not arguing wether it was RIGHT or WRONG. Of course I agree with you, you shouldn't be on someone's *** like that. There's no question there. The question is, was B really THAT close? What if he wasn't? Then you kinda prematurely critisized him before knowing just how far back he was, and stereotyping him as one of those fools that does it. You get what I mean? Two different points here.

Based on the comments he shared, yes, it would imply he was. This is human nature my friend .. WHY, ask yourself WHY would someone come out in a rampage referring to their bumper. And don't tell me it's the prius/hybrid hummer hatehere ... it's a fairly small group of people and I would CERTAINLY think someone of that nature would have made a couple of comments regarding that very subject if they were pi$$ed off and had the chance to really take a chunk out of a HUMMER owners behind ... We BOTH know there's no way these huggers wouldn't give those cheap shots up .. not even to save a tree ...

Yes, I critized B for it .. and there's about 10 of yas critizing the other driver based on the same post, voicing your opinions ... Idid too, I just don't happen to agree with the rest of ya'll which is why I'm being stomped on for it .. again I'll say had I agreed with everyone else, this thread would've been dead at this point .. or very slow moving ..

If anything this thread has shown that if you go against the grain and have a differentiating opinion of things .. you get shot down for it. I've based MY opinion on the same post you have .. yet mine is all assumption and it's mostly wrong .. while the bashing of the guy who in MY opinion got tailgated is correct and tolerated ... well F**K me sideways folks ... kind of reminds me of old news reels from the 1930's but it was hard to understand because the narration was in GERMAN!

DOH! The Civic Hybrid looks so much like the Prius, I visually see that car in my mind every time I see "Hybrid" anything.

Nick: OK buddy. PLEASE read this slow

I'm not saying he deserves the benefit of the doubt. I'm saying, I don't think it's fair you are critisizing B before he has a chance to tell you if he WAS or WAS NOT real close to the guy. If he WAS close, rip him a new one lol, but if he wasn't, then you can't call him out for doing something he didn't do.

Does ANYBODY understand what I'm trying to say? There is definitely some disturbing communications gap going on here, and I'm not saying it's not MY fault, because it probably is lol

Hey, I didn't say ANYBODY else was an angel either there. You expressed your opinion directly towards him but still don't know if he was guilty of anything you are accusing him of.

All I'm saying is, I think it would have been more appropriate to say "IF you DID follow him too close, then here is what I think of you and what you did" instead of just going at it at him. Please tell me you understand what I'm saying. I'm not taking sides man, you keep thinking that's what I'm doing it sounds like. That's not what me, personally, is getting at.

My point is not whether it was right or wrong, my point is I don't think a person should critisize someone directly and point the finger without knowing what really happened. If it was me, I would have added something before the statement, as I suggested above, but not just come off like "you are guilty and here's whatI think of you" because in my eyes, that's what it sounds liek you are doing. Maybe I just am taking it the wrong way. It's not about whether he did it or not, its about telling him you think bad of him without knowing if he even really did it! You are forming an opinion of someone's actions when you don't even know if those actions took place in the way you are assuming they did.

You can express how you feel and your opinion all you want, but why post something telling him "Moral of this issue is .. if you don't like people getting pi$$ed off at you .. don't ride their rear bumper or pull up 5-6 inches away from them at a red light .. there's no excuses for this crap ... and quite frankly, if you had been rear ended you would've done the same to him ... Had I been infront of you and you rode my bumper I too would have had a little talking to you" and it just sounds like when you said that last statement, you are assuming it's a FACT he was riding his bumper. Maybe he wasn't, but why assume it if you don't know it? I would have siad "If someone was riding my bumper, I would have a talking with that person" but by you saying YOU an dYOu and YOU, you are kinda pointing the finger at him for doing something you don't know fact to be true.

DOH AM I making sense? Whether he did it or not isn't what I'm saying, I'm saying how do you KNOW he REALLY did that? None of us DO, so why use I would have done this to YOU and that to YOU when HE may not have done it. It's using someone as an example that may not deserve to, but until you know for sure, I don't think it's nice to use him personally as an example unless he comes and tells you he's guilty of it. Then you can come at him and rip him a crater

No, I ment him .. and yes, I'm pointing my finger .. still .. I don't think stroking his ego and removing the accountability from his actions is the right thing to do .. end of story.
