Default Ideal backspace or offset for 35x12.5 tires?

Hi all,

been searching the forum for a few hours tonight. I figure it'd just be best to ask... so much conflicting information.

What is the IDEAL backspace or width & offset to fit 35x12.5" tires with a leveled lift, and to clear the suspension and not stick out the flares too crazy?

I'm seeing you need 5.5" backspace or less to clear the rotors and calipers.

Any one have any pictures, or information?

Between 4.5" and 5.5" backspace is just about the best.

i bought a 2009 hummer h3 alpha. i'm want to go to 35'' tires. the rims that came on my h3 look like 20x10 with 4.56 bs and -24 offset with a 305/50/20 tire on them. my front sits at 22 1/2. and back sits 23 1/2
first i will adj t bars to 23 1/2 to level it out. then install bilstens shocks. question i like the rockstar rims that came on it and dont want to buy a new set if i dont have to,(even if i am stuck with 20's) so will these rims work with 35s? new tire will be 35/12.5/20?
what rubbing will there be if any? i'd rather find out now than buy them and find out later, lol thanks for your help.

Compare the actual tire specs (I mean the actual size dimensions), current set to what you plan on purchasing, that will answer your question.

comparing the tire size, it looks like they are the same width but the new ones will be 3 inches taller.
