next question, who wants to oversee it? i can do the set up for it, and the winner will get a picture of his/her ride on the right side of the forum, and when you click the picture, it takes you to a brief write up, done by the winner. there is also an archieve. i can do the first one, and you can all see how i do it, and if you have an idea to make it better, by all means...fire away.

I think that we should pick 3 trucks and put up a poll for a month. The winner will be the truck of the month for the next month, while another monthly poll will be running for the following month. Any other way and it won't be fair to have mods or admins picking the winners. Plus I think the members will enjoy voting too....I know they liked it when we picked rigs of the month in my bass fishing forum. I'll oversee it if you want...I have lots of free time.

how we have done it at other sites...
on the 10th of the month, say january..i open nominations for february, and as soon as the nominations are done, or until the 20th comes around, we allow the members to nominate. if the members arent active enough, the staff nominates people...we then let voting run for the rest of the month...so as soon as february comes, we have the feb ROTM ready. then on feb 10th, we start the nominations for march...do you think that we have enough active members to do the nominating and voting, or should the staff nominate people, and let the members vote?

I personally like Mike / IK's idea also. I think we should make an official thread every month named "XXX's Rig of the Month" where XXX is the month name and people can post their nominations there. Then, we can add a Poll in the beginning of that post, or in a separate post as a follow up.
As much as people's rigs change, I think we should have a rule that you are only eligible every 3 or 6 months for Rig of the Month, since what once looked one way could be totally different 6 months down the road.
And, I think whoever the winner is should get a free HummerForums decal. I'll even chip in a pay for a few of them.
