That is pretty low. I get better than that and I'm mostly whoah and go traffic.

I'm averaging about that too. I have the base model with the 5-speed manual tranny.

I figure it's only because I only have 1200miles on it, and the engine still needs breaking in.

Let me know what they say.

I have the base model 5-speed also, but I average 15 to 16 mpg per tank, that is 75% stop and go traffic to and from the city every day, WITH the A/C turned on almost all the time.

I DO have a K&N air filter though, but that is it. My tires are inflated to 30 psi all around.

I think there is something up with yours. Maybe that is just how the Automatic's operate, but I drive my H3 pretty hard, and I never got mileage that bad.

Maybe they need to reprogram your ECU.

What kind of mods do you have on your H3?

We have maybe 2000 miles on ours, and we've been getting anywhere from 14.5 - 17 mpg. Some are all city, some are mostly highway, most are a mix. We've got 285's, w/ an automatic, everything stock for now. It's at least worth your time to run it in and see what they say.

I should also point out that when we got the 14.5, I had done about 45 minutes worth of wheeling on that tank. All of it in low 4wd, w/ the rear locker, climbing hills out at the lake. So, that's probably why that is the lowest recording we've gotten so far.

I'm pretty content with those numbers. Now I hope to get a little extra out of it with a free flowing intake/exhaust, in the near future. I hope there is something they can find, to correct it for you.

that does seem low[:'(]. I am averaging 15.6 over 6 weeks and 10 tanks of gas - all city driving. I am getting 18.6 hwy driving.
