You have to wash it when it snows once in awhile. The road salt can be a beotch on the cars. At least maybe it's a habit because that's the way we were taught growing up.

 

Mine held on by the tape like 3 days. I bought #10 SS Hex head cap screws, drilled eight holes (4 on top and 4 bottom) across the grill, usedSS flat washers and nylock nuts. It is on permanantley now. The screw haeds almost look like rivets. Works for me.
