hello, i am new to this forum and i also need a roof rack for my h2. i really like the gobi stealth rack. can you guys give me some other brands that are good? is gobi the only only ones that make a full roof rack and low profile? thanks

 

Take a look at the Defender racks. Not sure if they have one for the H2. I have the fully welded Defender for the H3. It has it's own mounting brackets which attach to the mounting rail in the roof so you ditch the factory cross rails which allows the rack to sit much lower for a much cleaner look. The rack is similar to the Gobi but only covers about half the roof making the sunroof not a concern. The rack is very strong and has light tabs on the front and rear and is less than $600 with mounts and tax. Make sure you get the fully welded one though.

 

I went with Thule crossbars since I already had 20 years worth of their boat, bike, ski racks including their basket sitting in my garage attic. Once the mounting clips that look like door latch hardware are mounted on the H3's rails, the crossbars and whatever you have attached to them click on and off in seconds.

While not as cool as Gobi, the Thule stuff is an alternative if you commute on the highway during the week because you can remove it in seconds by just pushing a lock button on each mounting foot.

 

Have you seen the bajarack? I have had my eye on this one for a few months.
