I gotta ask .....
I got lucky I guess. But let me give you a way to save some cash... I just bought a gas cap that was non-key locking and bought my own lock at the local hardware store for 6.95. they are called barrell locks that are frequently used in gun cabinets, or kitchen drawers, cabinet doors etc. They make different thickness's of the locks like 1 1/2, 1", 3/4 and 9/16...This is the perfect one for the gas cap doors. The one I got already had a hole drilled in it but only had a turn **** to keep the door closed. I pulled the nut off of it and installed my barrell lock in the exsisting hole and fit perfectly. You can also buy a non drilled door assy and drill your own hole and install lock. Here is a pic of mine after installing my 6.95 lock to the $100 dollar door I bought. I am including a link to a locking black door for only a 119.

Or buy this $40 dollar one and then one of the $6.95 locks I did and you got your locking fuel door for under $50...

Gas cap covers, why are they so expensive??? There is nothing to them, NOTHING?
If the answer is because that is the price people are willing to pay...gotta be some people with a HECK of alot more money than me to burn on something so trival.
With spring finally approaching, I was surfing the net and hoping to find a couple new accesories to spruce up the old H3 now that it is due to get its annual detailing after a long winter...$130-200 for that? LOL , you gotta be nuts to pay that. If folks are selling a bunch at those prices and raking in the cash on them, God Bless them if they can keep a market for them at that price, that is government contract pricing and we all know where paying that will eventually get ya...LOL
Just a vent...last couple years of this robust economy must of made me a cheapskate.

My toughts also...not that I am cheap but I have a black non lockable Bully Dog on my Ram and before that my Dakota and they were only $69
I never understood the locking fuel door? Idk how all fuel doors install. but the OEM one i have stock on mine literally just rips off with a little tug. Its not that Im just TOO strong (i know alot of people are thinking that). its because there are just a handful of clips that push through the holes around the door....
My point is someone can pull the door off if they really wanted to get to your fuel..

the one i bought came with 4 tiny screws that went thru the back side of the original plastic that clipped in!! i looked at it and lol!
i cut a ring to out of tough fiberboard, curved to fit inside the fender. mounted the cute chrome cover with 6 chrome self tapping screws that were hard to turn into the ring. mainly to keep it from falling off and getting lost!!
typical labor of love. i wouldnt do it again for anyone for $200!
