Default I did it

I have joined the fraternity of H3 owners.......she is resting comfortably in the garage....37000 on a 2006...I was approached by a business agent for a CNA warranty....after I drove her home , in the glove box is a CNA brochure with a policy number on it....got to call them tomorrow and see if their are any free bennys...

One complaint ...the wheels are pitted and have cancer growth' S...guess thats a standard defect....

Now , I request do ' s ...dont' s and things that are definately worthy and an improvment to do ...I did get my serius account flipped over and I am indeed a happy camper about that...

Thanks !

Congratulations on the new H3! You know pictures are in order now...waiting...since you posted about that great, new purchase...still waiting for pics.

I've only seen one H3 with corroded wheels down here in Texas, not much snow or road salt around these parts. Just clean the rims up and get them powder coated or painted and they will be fine. I've seen a couple pictures of a rattle can Duplicolor paint job that looked pretty darn good.

These are so bad they have grapes or stalagtites om them.. I will do some pics tomorrow...but here ..winters are usually horrible...and lots of chemicals and salt...the man shoulda complained to Generous Motors about the wheels.

It's an 06 so first thing I would do is if you didn't before you bought it was make sure it doesn't have the heads issue. I'm not sure what the process is to verify it has been done or needs to be done. Just know the 06's are the year affected. A quick internet or a search on this forum will probably find you the answer you need.

Hello and Welcome from MI. What do you plan on doing with your new H3? Then we can provide ideas and pix to help you get started in the correct direction.

Oh yeah, POST UP SOME PIX!

I needed the nice roomy interior space ,and a winter vehicle ,the last several winters I had to use one of my girlfriends suv s...obviously ,my toy collection wasnt geared for the wintery mix here. Its possible some time that it may go off road...but that would be if I sneak into a good fishin hole...

I wonder if I should do transmission service ? a filter change never hurts. The dealership did an oil change...I am a fan of good synthetic ,in a thousand miles er so I will change it...any reason not to use synthetic ?

I have read about removing the restriction of the air intake through the fender...does improving the CAI help the gas mileage at all ?

I checked the GMPP website about extended warranty , when I did ,it said its still under warranty.. so I guess its picking up the third party coverage I mentioned above.....heads ?....hmmm...need to look into what your saying...no clue...brand new to the Hummer crowd.
