i dont think, and also doubt that the fumes get back thru the tb. check the mechanics to verify b4 saying that. ill do some looking too.
seems like clean air gets to the air baffle and "pcv" vents after the tb. lets all see huh.

Why does the TB get dirty or mass air?? And yes some are vented before,or ported into the TB and after hence why you use the proper cleaner of which to clean. If OP used carb cleaner as he stated, he possibly damaged the TB, and if he used it on the Mass air flow sensor, it is ruined. Sounds like it also the mounting gasket not sealing as well. Don't let my low post count reflect my experience.

Mounting gasket? The TB uses an O ring in a slot on the intake manifold, almost impossible to mess that up.

O rings have been known to get pinched when installing

ok heres an update. I cleaned it with carby cleaner and thought that was the issue, cleaned it again with throttle body cleaner and it was the same issue. tried to relearn the throttle as per instructions here and still the same issue.was told to drive it to re learn so I drove it 300ks and it still had the same issue of idle holding at 1500rpm when driving until completely stopping then it would drop to normal. I then found a procedure on a Honda forum. turn ur ignition on, unplug the TB, turn it off, plug it back in,turn ur car on,clear ur check engine light and codes and instantly it went back to normal.thanks for ur help hope this helps someone

Someone meeds to get GM to publish all the "cheat codes" like you can get for the video games. All this "tribal knowlege" about what fixes what is too easy to forget!
