geeggee PM'd me asking if we could add a new heading for Hummer4vets so that any activity toward raising money for the cause or buying a Hummer or whatever direction this takes doesn't get lost. He said he is contacting WWP, Fisher House, etc. on this and wants to try to do something with their blessing. He also said he was contacting other mods her and at Hummer X Club. Anyone else got the PM? Any thoughts. I just told him I would bring it up.

I also got Pmed, haven't replied back yet, I think it's cool what he is trying to do, but not sure about the mix of the two forums, to me he should stick to one forum and see where it goes, don't get me wrong, but I wounder if this won't turn out to be some kind of competition between the two forums, it could be a good thing for the cause, but in this strange world of the internet who knows what could happen!!!

He sent one to me also. I told him that I would notify the Admins about it and let him know. I told him that I appreciate the idea but have to wait and see what the legalities of it would be.

He is trying to get something together buy an H3 from donations (source I'm unsure of) Then auction it off and donate the proceeds to the Fisher House, etc... to help wounded Vets. That's what I gathered from it.

At least he knows who the nice mods are. Also sounded like he might be considering donating a truck to be used for/by the Fisher House residents. He was going to check with WWP and FH and see what they would want, money or a Hummer.

honestly I don't think the forum will do anything special with that....from a business point of view (The group that owns this site is a big internet message board business), what if this gegeeegegee dude turns out to be a crook? Then this forum gets a huge black eye, members are out money who knows what could come of it.

let me rephrase my post there....I didn't want to sound like I'm against this...and my post was my opinion not the opinion of the board. Stuff like that is up to Patrick.I will pass it on to him and have him post his views here. If this was something where donations were sent to a salvation army or a group of that stature then I would make it a sticky and not even bother Patrick with it but my fear is making a sticky and having members send donations to a dude that has been here two months, then finding out he scammed all the money.
