It sounds like a few of you may even believe 911 was a Bush conspiracy and perpetrated by the administration. 31 trillion in oil stolen, more effort in Afghanistan...come on guys quit watching MSNBC and get your news from a real source. Go back and read the events of the day and bone up on some facts...I think your memories are a little fuzzy.

I was going to go there Dave, but decided that it isn't worth it. I was getting upset reading some of the dribble in this thread. I moved it here because I didn't think that it was H3 specific and fit more here.

As far as the Astoria hotel, whatever. I'm done with this thread. You guys have fun with it.

Gas is still relatively cheap and I love my H2 SUT. I bought mine last week from a panicked owner, his loss my gain. I doubled my gasoline bill, but who cares? We get lots of snow where I live, the roads are terrible and I tow a trailer occasionally. If gas gets too crazy I'll buy a beater and drive the Hummer a bit less, but not until it's at least $8/gallon! If I could only get the prius pansies to stop flipping me off.......

Rejoice that the Prius owners are giving you birds. Like you a lot of us drive what we like and feel safe in. having been in a couple of bad wrecks I won't put my family in that type of danger. I spent a year recovering from one wreck and I have a better understanding of what happens when a big car hits a small car. I don't want to be in the small car again.

Surely you know the H3 didn't do well in front end collision tests among the SUVs

Rich, my Dad says the same thing, if todays generation had to shoulder the burden that theirs did we would all be speaking German right now. I feel the same way unfortunately. The country doesn't have the stomach for the tough stuff like it used to. Left leaning academics, liberal press, nobody wins soccer, "self esteem" over achievement, it is ok if you don't succeed mentality and give everything away politicians have turned us into a nation of I have a "right" to get it free and it should be easypansies. Theyhardly teach history anymore and what they teach is not the real lesson that should be learned. Christians can't pray in school but every other religion can, we can't put up Christmas trees in public places, Target shoppers get greeted with Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas, we aren't supposed to say "under God" in the Pledge and heaven forbid you work your a$$ off and make more than the next guy because then you force the liberals to take more of your money away and give to the slackers that don't work like you do. I better stop before I really get wound up.
Tell a veteran thank you today. I thank everyone that has put on a uniform in service of the USA. We all owe our freedoms, way of life and whatever future the liberals don't take away from us to you guys. Merry Christmas and God Bless America.

3hummers, I agree, like you Idecided that safety and convenienceare more important than saving a few dollars. Given an unfortunate choice, I'd rather hit a deer inan H2 than some high fuel economy mini-car. Conservation of momentum is important, I would prefer to be the heavier object in a collision.

The used car lots are getting loaded with SUVs and pick-ups, similar to what happened to luxury and muscle carsin the late 70s. I think once this initial wave of panic subsides, people will realize that the sky isn't falling and there are some real bargains out there.

great thread, one of the most entertaining ive seen since ive joined the board..........our country is now a bunch of complainers and not many doers....i dont understand why so many people always think they are owed something and take this country for granted and dont realize being an american is a privalege. We have it damn good here, even in the current tough times. The government coddles people till they are lazy. My dad had a great idea, would never happen, but was interesting and old school.

if you are out of work for12 consecutive months

1) between 21-31...automatically entered into the armed forces for 2 year committment
2) between 32-50....automatically entered into state run work system at minimum wage

i think this would get jobs filled real quick and this would stop those taking advantage of unemployment and being lazy asses
