Yo Tim, how's things with you done Florida and how's retirement treating you?

 

Dude, retirement's a blast--shoulda done it two years earlier when I was first eligible!
Florida is great---and not cold! Actually, it's freakin' hot and really hard to get used to the heat after dealing with all that cold!
My new job is cool---I'm a facilities guy for the 33FW out here at Eglin, working with an Engineer who's doing all the new facility build up. Ironically--some of my job entails dealing with the Corps guys and trying to get them to do their jobs!

 

Bro, easy now, I work for the Army Corps of Engineers lol!! Must be from the jacksonville district office, those guys are lazy.... Been a long time since I've been to Eglin, wonder if that base has changed! Glad that retirement is treating you good, feels good to not be deploying anymore

 

I know you're a Corps guy, that's why I took the shot! The guys we deal with are out of the Mobile office, they're all pretty good, but we've done a fair share of their work after accepting the projects and chasing down and following up on the multitudes of warranty stuff.
I've applied for a couple of GS-11 Corps inspector jobs but pretty sure they had ringers and just needed to post them up.
Eglin hasn't changed much at all, just a bucketload of new dorms in place of the old ones. The 33rd has a new dorm, chow hall and massive school house for the maintainers and pilots. Oh yeah, and two shiny new hangars for the F-35. So the 33rd is getting a facelift.

I've seen few posting from the Jacksonville district post up some jobs a few months ago. But wasn't sure if they were for the resident office near ft lauderdale. There's a couple of new funded projects to build new F35 hangers at hill afb. Currently, I'm down at draper for the Utah Data Center, a 1.2B project, fast pace with approx. 3000 contractor employees working.

I honestly dont know what I should ask for them, make me an offer. I'm not trying to make alot of money on them, just need to see them go to a good HUMMER home.
