I'll look into this as well; should I expect a painted grille hold up just as the factory paintjob has (provided I bring it to an autobody shop, etc.)?
If it's prepped right, sanded, primed, painted, clear coated, then yes there shouldn't be much of a difference! I have some contacts at body shops around the area and plan on getting mine painted.

Deep shyte is a relative term when someone overseas sets up a website and drop ships using an oblivious third party inside the US. I've been around on the interwebs long enough to see it all.
