[...] and one person who did by a hybrid voted for Bush, so trying to turn this into a political debate is moot.
Not my intention at all, at least in the context that it seems that you took it. Sorry if I didn't make my meaning clear. I was talking about global politics. If you'll recall, the 'six day war' in 1967 resulted OPEC's first attempt to wield their new found weapon against supporters of Israel. Grossly oversimplified, they stopped shipping oil to Europe. Curiously, a shortage was averted when the US (yes, the US) simply increased their exports to Europe to fill the gap and keep prices down. OPEC has used this weapon a number of times since then, to varying effect. In virtually every case, the result was an eventual collapse in world oil prices. The late 90's saw $10/bbl oil and gasoline selling for well under $1/gal. There's no reason to believe that this 'crisis' will be any different (though, while not impossible, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for $1 gas)
My comment wasn't directed toward you.

I just bought my second H3 traded my 07 for a 09 Championship Edition which has the v/8 and don't regret it. There was a lot of people in my areatrading there pick-ups,suvs for smaller cars but they took a bath on the trade and will never get the money back with the gas they save. Steve

Why all the hate with the Prius. They do very well what they where designed to do...... They get great gas mileage. Believe it or not but I drive a Prius Mon-Fri and a 2007 H3 Adv on the weekend. Its classic, I get tree hugger looks during the week and nasty "Gas Hog" looks on the weekend. Honestly, I think I get more middle fingers driving the H3 than I do with the Prius.......but its darn close. Have a good night.

I do not watch South Park....but I paid 2.39 for regular yesterday. [8D]

And I will be keeping my H3, unless I can cook up the deal of the century on a new Alpha. I am going to explore that in a couple months, just waiting for all the misery of the economy to really soak in.

I actually waited for gas prices to go up so I could find a deal on an h3. I just bought a black base h3 with new tires and 34K miles for $16,900 here in houston. I like my cheap gas as well. I just paid 2.19 a gallon today. I am as happy as a kid in a candy store.
