Two new bids are on the table at GM. Cross your fingers.

GM is reviewing bids from two of the previous bidders. There may yet be some interest in buying Hummer from another entity, possibly even an American company. GM has tried as hard as they could to kill the brand for two years. Somehow they haven't quite been able to get it done yet. While the odds are not good that Hummer is sold there is some chance still.

Do you think the value of the HUmmers will drop if the company doesnt sell, and goes belly up?

My bet is that demand will go up, as supply dwindles. Easy math there.....

Default ford should do it

i commented elsewhere, ford is selling big stuff like the f150 and sticks their thumb in the feds eye so they could be a natural,,,and unlike gm/chr,,they are making big $ so they could afFORD it.

wouldnt that make an old ford man happy.

someone just make me one more in about december.

Keep an eye on the Wallstreet Journal, inside source tells me that this company CAN be sold and it CAN be profitable. GM isn't a car company anymore, its a political vehicle. Hopefully the guys down in Shreveport and in Indy can yell loud enough.

I think in the shorter term prices will fall - most people (other than enthusiasts you'd find here) buy based on warranties, future support etc. They don't like to buy a discontinued brand.

In the longer term as Hummers go out of circulation through natural wastage prices will rise as it grows its classic car status. You just might have to hold onto it a few years to get there.
