Can anyone out there help me? I have been driving around Oman in the Middle East for 12 months in my new H3, great beastie. Came back from holidays, drove to work in my beastie and it was pulling badly to the right. Checked under and found the RHS tie-rod bent. Can't remember bashing or stressing the vehicle in any way that would bend a tie rod. I note on a number of sites that this appears to be a weak point as everyone seems to carry a spare. I amclaiming to GM that this is a manufacturing faultbut they are giving me the usualMuddle East guff.

Has anyone had the same problem with tie rods and if so can theygive me some advice.

Check if you have silver 14mm or black 16mm tie rods. Newer models have black 16mm. So yes, GM did notice they were weak and increased size.

 

This would be the newer '07 models with the adjusted window controls right?

 

some early 07s still had the 14mm Ts
