Default Hummer H3 front frame plate support

Getting them cut as I type. Some of you that have used you winch in mud or at extreme angles know about the undersized plates on the front of the H3 as do the people that have had a heavy truck pulling you out by the front hooks or you pulling someone out that wasn't moving easy.

The support plate can be welded on by your local muffler shop. By welding this on your preventing the front frame plates from twisting or becoming deformed under distress. It also adds strength to the frame rails itself. Made from 3/8" Structural carbon steel these plates are no joke. Designed in CAD and cut with a water jet so theres no deforming or breaking down of the edge of the metal while its being cut out of the sheet.

They will be 65$ a pair shipped and paid with paypal and 6% tax for Michigan addresses. Thats for the weld on's, the bolt on's will be priced out later. They have to be cut in sets of 20 so pre-orders are being taken for the first group which is almost 1/2 full.

These are for a piece of mind, for the time you have to get yanked out of a bad hole or for when you need to test your winches limits. Its just like wearing a seat belt, you don't always use it when its on but when you have to your glad you had it.

A full write up will be made in the installation thread, its very simple. A few sockets take the front bumper and impact cover off in 5 minutes and then these just slip rite over and get welded on by your local shop or yourself. You will never know they are there, everything bolts rite back on.

Just PM me to place your order, quantities will be limited at first.

This is a easy DIY job but if you don't have a welder or grinder any muffler shop will be able to do this.

From the inside with the cover on you can see by the shadows that the new plate stops perfect rite where the curve begins on the cover.

I took it to my favorite muffler shop whom a friend I've had since high school owns. I had him do most of the work on one side so he could determine time and materials so I could pass on the info. He determined that if someone were to bring it in with the bumper cover off so he would only have to remove the impact bar cover and the impact bar it would take 1 hour. They charge 50$ an hour so it would had cost 53$ in Michigan. I took my welder there but we did one with his welder and one with mine. He has a typical Lincoln welder that every muffler shop has and it did fine. Most of the pictures above are of the side we did with his welder and it did the job no better than my welder did.
