Hummer h2 - Swimming on way
Hello, i would like to ask you about my problem with "swimming on highway" I have hummer h2, on 37x12,5" R22 wheels and with leveling kit 3". (stock suspension) and when i going on highway, i cant hold straight the steering wheel, its so unconfortable, can you tell me what parts should i replace for better stable driving ? I already bouth KRYPTONITE DEATH GRIP TIE RODS.
Welcome to HF. First always READ before you post anything anywhere. Next, i MOVED this for you as the HF Help & Suggestion Center clearly tells everyone Do NOT post vehicle questions in this section as it has nothing to do with any vehicle, but is instead for asking how to use forum functions.
All H2 questions go in the H2 section.
Good luck.

Hummerz posted some useful alignment information. Might be worth having that looked at along with a couple other things. Assuming the Kryptonite Tie rods are new, they likely aren't the issue. Next things i would look at is excessive play or movement in the pitman arm just off the steering box and the idler arm. Pitman arms are a common item to wear out. Another thing to inspect would be wheel bearings. H2's are notorious for chewing these up. Do you hear any grinding noises when you're driving at low speeds? While your at it, you should really just do an inspection of the whole suspension, make sure all of the rubber bushings are in tact on the sway bar and all the boots around ball joints in the control arms and such are not torn and the parts are not loose. I'm sure if you took it to an alignment shop, they wouldn't charge much if at all to get it inspected if you got an alignment too.
There are some companies like predator and Fox that make steering stabilizers for the H2. This is not a fix for worn out suspension components, but it does help with road manners especially with 37s on a lift. A little bit of "swimming" is generally accepted in a vehicle with large tires, hydraulic power steering, and the aerodynamics of a refrigerator as long as your suspension is not worn.

Hello, thanks for help. I already change pitman and idler arm, i both MOOG. ANd i dont hear any noisy from slowly drive. So, i will check all parts what you text and will see. ,
I will try buy steering stabilizers, if you say, that it should help. .)
Same as I mentioned on FB. Crank those torsion keys back down some. 2 inches MAX lift that way (reindexed keys or not) or it will ride hard and drive like crap due to the extreme angles everything is at. It will also wear out all of the front end components very quickly. You can get different UCA's with adjustable ball joints which will help some with cranked torsion keys but realistically the only good solution is an actual lift kit, not a levelling kit with cranked torsion keys.
