Hummer H2 Pro Stock ?
Hi guys,
I was big time into boats. At one time I had three twin engine boats with blower motors. I have lessened the stable population but now have a couple big new blower motors setting up on the shelf that don't have a home. I went to the Turkey Run car show in Daytona looking for something to drop a motor into but came up empty. I then had the wild idea of finding a 60-66 suicide 4 door drop top lincoln and making a hot rod out of it. However, I love my trucks and thought how wild would it be to take an H2 and drop one of the 1100 HP monsters in there to tool around town. With he right drive line and wheels that would be one different piece of equipment but I would still have all the conveniences.
Not being that familiar with Hummers I am looking for input from the gallery. Plus's, minus's and any words of wisdom. Suggestions of trannies, frame support, rear ends, rims, tires. This may be the first Pro Stock Hummer.
The motors feature Merlin 600 CI cast blocks with Dart CNC'd heads, jesel, intercoolers, 1471 BDS and dominators. Oh yea, dry sumped with MSD to boot. Change the pullies and add race fuel we are pumping out 1400 hp. Blocked down we are 1100 on the dyno. I can see that tall deck sticking out of the hood right now.
This isn't the first not so bright idea I have ever had but I do love fast stuff. Go to YouTube and plug in Hell Fire Skater. There are three videos where you can see how stupid over speed I really am.
Yep, a 46 foot Skater with a set of twin 1650 HP Lycoming gas turbines.
Looking forward to your comments. Thanks Dennis The Menace
