I'm going to be taking delivery of a hummer h2 within the next couple of weeks. I'm a little worried about a couple of things... maybe you guys can help! The vehicle was imported from the states. It's a 2005 hummer but was never registered and still only has delivery mileage so is practically brand new. Anyway... along the way, the passenger mirror has been broken (nobody seems to know how but half of it is missing)... I'm trying to get the vehicle off the dealership and get everything fixed up myself (I'm very impatient and they seem to have all the time in the world)... but anyway (finally going to get to my point)...

The mirror that isn't broken is all covered in chrome. (car comes with chrome pack)...I've been searching around for a replacement mirror and can't find the same one anywhere! Any ideas on where I could get one? I'm guessing if all else fails I will have to just buy both sides eventhough one works perfectly well. Do I just need to buy any standard H2 replacement mirror and some chrome clip on kit or will I need to replace both?

Judging by your post you clearly don't live in the states but its also safe to assume you are not an American either (or is it?!)

Either way, your solution is simple. Buy two matching mirrors and replace both. Take the one remaining mirror and put on eBay for slightly less than cost of both. Negotiate with the *bloke* that buys them to a price that makes a deal for them and still offers you a nice profit for your work.

Not that I would do this myself having too much love and respect for our Hummer brethren but its closer to the American way. Well, actually - the True American way would be to misrepresent the price you paid and the actual value of the item and sell the proposed valuation of the item to someone else as a generically titled Value Asset and let them sink while you hide your money. Then claim financial hardship and Too Big To Fail and get government to give you forgivable gap loans to keep you afloat and pocket that money too.

A little more American but in this case, it's just a mirror. Lets keep it simple. Cheers.
