Hummer Club Section
i have regional sections and club sections at a few other forums, and they are very popular. the club sections are a newer thing that ive put together, but they have been helpful in getting new members to that site. for instance, at my mustang site, i was seeing alot of sigs about a certain NY club, so i spoke to one of the members, gave them a club section, and a bunch of new members joined who had been members of other mustang sites, but since the club was given their own area, members from other sites come to my mustang site because they have their own area.
i'm not disagreeing with you thatregional sections can be helpful (you might ban me), but i don't think it would be beneficial to this forum in particular. we all tend to know where other members are located, and there have been few succesful attempts at putting things together. HG got a run together and i think sgt940 and JAJA got something once, but that's really all. we're spread out over such a wide area that it just doesn't make sense to me to have regional forums. and there are far less hummer owners than there are mustang or harley owners (haven't been to your harley forum in a while so don't know if that has regional forums or not). i just don't see a benefit - CA is a huge state, and i think Deuce Bigelow and myself are the only regular members on the forum from CA. i would like to see a local club link that lists contact info though - Denise never got around to posting the info i sent her way back. that way members could hook up with others in their area and maybe bring some of those owners to the forum - although that hasn't worked with my club (MarkM and golden shower are the only NCHG members registered, and they're hardly ever here).

There are some SoCal Hummer X guys and a couple of Psycho Squad guys on here. Those groups each have their own websites so I don't know if we would gain much or not. As far as I can tell I am the only THCI member in SoCal. Patrick if you have had a good experience with it in your other forums we could give it a try here and see if it works. I am going on a two day run this weekend with a group from a place called HummerBase Camp. I don't know any of them but thought I would do a run with them and see who and what they are. Can't suck too bad because I'll be spending two days in a Hummer in the high desert. They have their own website also. The regional forums might also prove to be recruiting grounds for some of these clubs since it would help new Hummer owners connect with local groups.
