lol thats awesome dude. So the current was half way up the door and the truck wasn't struggling or letting water in or seemed to lack in power or anything? You were in 4low right?

We don't get a lot of rain here, but when we do (couple of times a year) there tends to be a lot of it, and since there are no storm drains and the roads have no camber there is lots of flooding. The H3 is great fun in these conditions when everyone else is parked up by 2 ft puddles. Suddenly the roads become an offroad course.

From a safety point of view its not good if the car it too watertight... if you do misjudge it or get caught in flash flood you're more likely to float, flip over, etc. As I recall the military H1s tend to flood fairly easily because of this - keeps their wheels on the river bed where they can at least do some good.

Yes Hmmwv's are made to take-on water so they dont float away or tip. The way you correct that in any other car that doesn't take on water well is to crack a door or two to let the water in.

^How deep was the water you were in? Did you stop or was that from rolling thru it?

WOW, that is incredible/awesome. I have been looking on GM parts lists for the "testicular fortitude" option so i can do those sorts of things but haven't found it listed yet. I guess I'm just gonna have to hit some off these off-road runs y'all do so maybe some will rub off on me.
