I think several strips of black electrical tape would look better than that, and be cheaper too. Better yet, if you have a boulder grey one, just use duct tape.

 

the pic doesn't give you enough perspective. a close up of the fender looks like crap, but what about the scheme when looking at the truck from across the street? personally, i think red and black are a great color combo, and it might look good when you have the whole truck to view.
