Default How to remove/install driver side dash air vent?

On my 2007 Hummer H3x, somebody broke the air outlet/vent louver direction adjustment control on the dash. I ordered a new air outlet (part #25816721) but am now confused how to remove the old one and replace it with the new one. Looks like it might be way more complicated than I originally thought, but not sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

Figured it out. Took a small flathead screwdriver and carefully popped out the outer louvers on the old air outlet installed in the dash. The outer louvers are held in place with 8 small pins (4 on each side). I popped all 4 pins loose on the right side and that released the left ones as well. After getting the outer louver assembly removed, then I was able to get to the inner release tabs. Since I was replacing the entire air outlet, I could have just broke off the release tabs, but instead decided to stick a separate screwdriver in each of the 4 locations to hold them in the release position. Upon doing that, I lifted outward and upward and that released the two tabs at the very top and out came the old air outlet. Once the old one is out, the new one just slides right in place very easily. Glad to have that small thing fixed on my H3.

Hey, glad to hear that was helpful. Apparently a prior owner of my vehicle got a little carried away when adjusting the air flow direction louvers. I'm glad to now have a properly functioning driver side air outlet.
