3 windshields. 2007 H3. The ins. co always wants to come out and fix the chips too. They have been out to fix chips probably 10 times

 

Just replaced mine this summer, it had a few rock chips and a crack I fixed from the winter time. Changed it out for the wife for B-Day and put a special tint on the windshield for her.

If there is one thing about owning a JK and an H3, it's that windshield replacement is almost garunteed.

Good thing I own a glass shop, hahaha.

 

still on the original but 2 or 3 good chips that have been filled.

 

Still have the factory one on my 2010 just turned 39K. I have had 2 chips filled and when the sun hits it just right it looks like it has been sandblasted. I will likey replace it when the big crack or chip comes along..and it will.

 

In less than 2 years 1 replaced windshield + chip repairs.

 

Can't see outa mine, guess I should replace soon?

4 cracks and thousands of little porous pits....glad I am not alone.

on my 2nd, used safelite. guy came out to my house. I am very nosy and picky, so i hung out the hole time, asked if he had dome H3 before, he said this was his 5th. did a great job, clean, quick, knew just what he was doing.

 

Meh, screw Safelite, they are the Jiffy Lube/Discount Tire of the glass world.

 

Fresh new chip in mine this weekend. Need to make time to get it filled before it spreads and I have to replace it.

Plus side - I bought a lifetime free chip repair card for my T so it's not going to cost anything.

 

Is there a difference in an OEM and aftermarket windshield like the dark area around the edges not being there? I thought I read something about that.
What prices are you having to pay?
