Ray, I love my truck too. She looks pretty sitting in the driveway. But like you I fail to accept that fact that it gives me so many problems. I'm not sure a Tundra is the answer, all vehicles have problems. I'm no kid, I'm around 50 and I can say for certainty that this is NOT a well built vehicle. My damn air/heat blower only works on setting 2 or 3. My long-gone 67' Mustang gave me less mechanical problems, but was a "unibody" design and rusted beyond repair. I could literally stand in the engine bay and change spark plugs. The H3 is a BEAUTIFUL truck, physically tougher than my older cars but a Poorly executed design. That being said, lots of great, talented people on this board. I'll be here a few years longer (hopefully lol)

Active since 09 but not as much lately mostly because I'm not doing anything noteworthy and haven't had any issues in a while. I agree with the comment that the community is watered down. I think this forum was the first stop for hummer owners for a few years, particularly when all of the general issues were being discovered. For the most part the community is past all of the common problems the 3's may or may not have had and are now more active in communities that are focused on their interests. So I view this as the learner community where everyone can come and, after some reading, will have a baseline knowledge of their vehicle and the causes of the most common problems.

Its kind of ironic that Tainter is identified as a possible reason why its not more active. It guys like Tainter that keep this place on track and from being overrun by posters like H3Ray. Since ive been here there has always been at least 1 H3Ray posting and it becomes a nuisance. Part of the reason I participate in the forums is a way to relax some and constantly reading that kind of garbage in nearly every thread is exhausting.

Most of the time its the way the question is asked that gets people pummeled, not what was asked. If you acknowledge that you've done your research and your problem is unique because xyz, you usually aren't going to get jumped.

I have done my best to help others if I can and I ask questions. Tainter is the only guy who is always harassing others. He harasses others way more on the other forums because he is *buddies* with the owner and/or the good ol boys. When you upset the good ol boy network - you are banned as what happened to me on the forum owned by A.N., and when you disagree with the masses-you are banned-and you all think we live in a free country with free speech?

This Forum is by far the best one because it's owned by a large corporation and the Moderator Doc Olds does a pretty good job keeping the forums in check. No good ol boy club here!

Like I said I'm enjoying H3 ownership but if I had to do it all over again-I would have purchased a Tundra.

Ray, I have found very Bright, helpful people on the board. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That being said, as much as I love my H3, I would not buy it again. Yes, I can repair things too. Been working on cars since I was a kid, and face it, the H3 is a damn sexy truck, but I'm with you as far as the disappointment goes. For loves sake my girlfriends Nissan Rogue is FAR more reliable, and with twice as many miles on it. Is it a Hummer? No, but a good vehicle nonetheless. As my father always said: it's just a machine, don't fall in love with it Lol.

Free speech has absolutely zero to do with posting in this type of forum.
