Do you think this **** matters in the real world? My wife and the few friends I have are what matter, and my friends include you AND Paige, and NO, she doesn't tell me **** abuot the other site because we dont even talk about this crap EVER. It never comes up. We have better things to talk about then stupid drama on a internet web site with people we don't even hang out with in person.

If you have a "spy" on the other board telling you what's being said in private and on PM's then you know it's not me. Do us all a favor ... if this person is so informative and are up front with who the "spy" here or there is ... say it already, call them out. Why are you so hush-hush about it?

never accused you of bieng a spy....never meant to anyway. but like I said earlier if any mod favors that board over this one then you shouldn't be a mod here....don't understand why that is hard for people to understand. bieng a mod is a privelage, one that you aren't very proud of if you post 20:1 at denise's site.

Well, Mike has a passion for this site obviously. THAT is why he cares so much. I have a passion for my job and care about that.
That never gets me anywhere, and is why I'm going to start looking for another one after 10 years here. What do I get for caring? I get all the bullsh1t that comes with it. Every day, nothing but everybody in my I.T. department acting like everything is a big f'ing joke, but to me, it's not. It's my job, and I take it seriously, but nobody else does, so despite the money or benefits I get which is great, I'm not happy, because I'm the only one that seems to care
This is what Mike is saying I think. He takes it seriously, because he cares about the forum, and obviously has more of a passion for it then we do. That's fine. I get it. But some of us like to not take it so seriously. It's not a paid job. It's free. People shoudl appreciate the fact that we are taking our own personal time to help this place who makes MONEY from it. This whole "Being a Mod is a privelage" thing is getting old.
Yes, it's a privelage, but guess what, it's not a full-time job. We all have jobs. We all go to work every day. We have other things in our lives to do. You don't. It's not personal, but you really don't have a job. You can say, raising a family is a full time job, but most of the mods here HAVE families, and do it, PLUS work a full-time job. Look at Doc for example, or Chris. None of us have it easy, especially you, but we do this during work, our free time with our family, etc. We don't have to, but we do. If anything, people should appreciate US more, and not us appreciate the all might MOD status.
For you, it's a big deal, for us, not so much. I love the site, I love the people and I like helping out, but if it's expected that we are supposed to drop everything in our life and take it as a serious job where we already have full time jobs, then we should ALL be stripped as MODS and youc an have people that don't work do it. It's a PRIVILEGE for Patrick to have people he trusts working for FREE to do this, not the other way around.
