Default and THIS is how it's supposed to work...

I just wanted to thank a couple of members publicly for the way they conduct theirbusiness. I almost got burned once recently here on a sale and it left me with a bad taste, but these two folks have changed my mind.
(If anybody wants a bad check from West Africa for $3850.00, just Western Union me 3k, and it's all yours)

Brodie: I bought a set of fender flares from him last week. He sent me an e-mail appologizing for taking an extra day to send them out. The delay was because he didn't like how some of the hardware looked, so he went and bought new hardware to send with the flares. He even informed me of a couple of tricks that will help with the install that the directions (included) didn't cover...
THANKS Brodie !!!

DrCarver: I bought a set of clear front LED turn signals. He sent me an email letting me know that they were shipped. I received them today, I have NEVER received a package that was packed so carefully.
THANKS DrCarver !!!

Thanks Jason! I know how it feels to be burned on a sale. I just try to treat people with the same service that I'd like to receive. Enjoy the new look!

I agree with Doc.... it's one thing to let them know you appreciated being treated well... it's above and beyond letting all of us know...

Last month I put my OEM Chrome wheels up for sale, within 24 hours I received an e-mail to purchase them. He would arrange shipping.

He wanted to send me a check, I told him that I wouldn'trelease the wheels until the check cleared and he was OK with that.

I waited for the check, which took 3 weeks, but they guy kept in touch by email, so I wasn't worried.

The day before the check arrived, Igot an email witha little side-note about cashing the check and forwarding the difference to 'his shipping agent'

The check finally arrived and right away BIG FLASHING FRAUD lights were going off...
(these are what I call clues)
1. $500.00 deal, check for $3850.00
2. Check was cut crooked, cut by hand
3. Holograph was ironed on
4. Routing/Account numbers were in the wrong order
5. micro-print in signature line was illegible
6. watermark missing

I tracked the envelope to an addy in West Africa

(If you havent figured it out yet, I'm no longer a medic, but someone took JP before I joined)

sooo, I sent him a little email stating:
1. the deal was off
2. some comments about his mother's preference of sexual relations with wild pigs
3. informing him that if he wanted his check back, he could contact the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force to discuss the return (it's a VERY easy phone call from work for me)

I haven't heard back, I don't know why...

Had a guy try to buy one of our horses that way one time also. Asked him how often his scam had been successful for him and never heard back.
