Default How is Hummer doing?

We have all heard about GM and thier sorry woes. Its pretty much inevitable that the Hummer brand is either getting sold or wil be dissapearing. But I was wondering how they are currently doing. Anybody have any inside info about thier sales? How is the new H3T selling

I don't have any info as to how the H3T is selling, but I would wager that it isn't meeting expectations. As far as overall for the brand, HUMMER sold 4,029 units in November of last year. This past November, HUMMER only managed to sell 1,454, an average of only 58 per day[]. That's 63.9% fewer units sold. Its about the same as you look back at Oct and Sep. with sales down 64.6% and 54.8 respectively.

With gas selling for around $1.50 in many parts of the country, I expected things to pick up at least a little. Any idea how the Prius has been affected by cheaper gas? Have Americans actually changed their ways? Our collective memory has been incredibly short after the many gas price shocks of the past.

Being that gas has just become cheap, within the past month, I would expect to see maybe less of a sales drop in December. I'm sure there were at least a few people mulling over a new vehicle purchase, now with gas so cheap, that might be enough for them to take the plunge. As far as the Prius goes, I know Toyoda has not been immune to the market downturn as their sales have been down over 30% month to month in November. Maybe we americans have sworn off SUVs for good, who knows. But now, you can get insane deals on a brand new HUMMER, or Tahoe. The dealer I bought my H3 from sent me a flyer in the mail advertising an 08 H3 Base with zero miles for $24,000 with zero due. Thats 7,000 off MSRP, you'd almost be crazy to not buy an SUV now.

Not too hard to figure out. The paranoid masses have stopped buying everything, including durables. It has been ugly in MI a long time, some of you are just begining to feel the pinch. It will get worse before it gets better. Enjoy. Just keep buying foreign crap and we will all soon be selling hamburgers and insurance to each other. Would you like cheese on your policy?

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

Been through all this noid crap before, too bad John Q is such a blithering idiot. Lame Duck anybody?

I seem to recall the Democrats taking credit for the economic recovery in 1992 after Clinton won the election (a recovery that began months before election day). The consensus was that improving consumer confidence was a direct result of the hope that Clinton inspired. One can't help but wonder why we haven't heard the Democrats apologizing for the current state of the economy.

Sorry. Just wonderin' is all.

I am considering buying a H3T right now. Does anybody know if GM will service these vehicles if Hummer disappears? If Hummer is purchased I assume the new owners will honor the warrantees as in Tata with Jaguar and Land Rover. Anybody know the real story on this?

Hang on for a bumpy ride folks. This economy is getting much worse with a inflationary depression on the horizon. Govt is printing funny muny and thinning out our dollars in our pockets. What a racket!! I believe gasoline is cheap because demand is down with all the layoffs recently. Production will cut as well. Massive inflation is brewing. Gas will start to climb. I use my H2 as a secondary vehicle anyway. Its darn fun!!!
