Default How to hard wire Sirius?

I am about to install my sirius sattelite radio and wondering on how to hard wire it. I have the cigarette plug for it but want to some how hard wire that to not take up a plug. Any suggestions on how to do so??

Also what is the best way to run antenna from the front? Do I need to drill?

I bought the XM to Sirius converter and it was very easy to install. I ran the antenna wire through the rubber gromet where the hood release cable runs through.

Not too sure about your hard wiring your Sirius unit. Sounds like you bought the plug and play version.

Did a little looking. Im guessing the converter is for the stock head unit? I have an after market so I am just going to get a converter to change my cd changer plug into more RCA's and use it as an auxillary input source.

From what I know if you get the inline box http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/serv...0&oldParentID= (runs thru factory radio) you should be able to use the factory antenna (might be different but the 2 I've seen were the same size) & power leads your just replacing the XM box. If your gonna use ann external one you could still disconect & use the factory antenna & power wiring but you would need to use the RCA input or FM tuner for sound.

That will work for your application. The converter here is for stock stereo. http://redirectingat.com/?id=42X204&...oldParentID%3D
