Hi fellow forum members. I have another question i an pretty new to satellite radio, how will i be able to get XM signal with the radio in the H3 it is a Monsom 6cd radio. I dint ask the salesment when i made the purchace, sorry for the stupped question.

 

I think it is a standard feature with that style of radio...press the BAND button.

 

If you didn't get the XM as an option with your Monsoon system, you will have to buy the Terk brand XM kit and install it. Here is the one that I bought that works with the radio controls:

Amazon is the cheapest place that I found the kit. I took it to Best Buy and had them install it for me because I was too lazy to do it myself. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

 

aqualight thanks for the reply, that is what. I need . do they have the same system with Syrious. How did your installation came out. and were did you installed in the H3, did you took it to somebody or did you installed your self.

Yep. I had a 2006 H3 with the upgraded Monsoon 6 disc however XM was an extra option that did not come with it. The radio is ready for it and controls the XM but the tuner and antennae are not installed. My new 2007 H3 w/lux package has the xm with the monsoon 6 disc radio.

I had Best Buy install the Terk unit for me. They ran the antennae up the drive a-pillar and positioned above the door. It looked fine and had great reception. They also have to mount the actual XM tuner somewhere in/under the dash.
